Ethan Green Hawke is an American actor, director, screenwriter, and novelist. He was born in Austin, Texas on November 6, 1970. He attended the Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn, went to West Windsor Plainsboro High School, and later Hawke attended the Hun School of Princeton. He studied acting at Carnegie Mellon University.   Hawke made his stage debut at age 13, he participated in West Windsor-Plainsboro productions such as "Meet Me in St. Louis" and "You Can't Take it With You." Hawke made his debut on the big screen at the age of 14 with the film "Explorers" (1985) and was part of the cast of the film "Dead Poets Society" (1989). His first leading role was "White Fang" (1991). Then came "A Midnight Clear" (1992) and "They Live" (1993), "Generation X" and "Reality Bites" (1994). Hawke has more than 50 films and several scripts for theater.
